The killing came twenty-one years after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, an event that had shaped Udham Singh's life ever since. The screenplay is by Shubhendu Bhattacharya and Ritesh Shah. Shooting took place over several months, wrapping in December 2019.
