Synopsis

AI-generated · themoviedb.org · en.wikipedia.org

Paul Thomas Anderson writes, directs, and produces this 2025 action thriller, inspired by Thomas Pynchon's 1990 novel Vineland. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Bob, a washed-up former revolutionary living off-grid with his daughter Willa, played by Chase Infiniti in her film debut, whose disappearance pulls him back into conflict when his old enemy, played by Sean Penn, resurfaces after sixteen years. Anderson had wanted to adapt Vineland since the early 2000s and folded in his own material while writing the script.
